One fateful night, a group of nerdy white boys formed a trivia team. They called themselves Team Five at first, because the rule was that up to five people could be on a team at once, but they so happened to end up with six. The event coordinators, while amused, did not allow Team Five to remain intact, and so it was that Team Five with six people was reduced to Team Six with five people.
That is, at least, how things began.
Fast forward a month, and these same nerdy white boys from before decided to make a student film. But they weren't going to just make a low-budget movie; the corporate bigwig, Clayton, simply wouldn't allow his artists to exercise their creative freedom like that. No, it was going to be a music video, and in that graffiti filled and poorly ventilated room, the phoenix that was their trivia group was born again in a blaze of glory... as a rap collective.
Now, TEAM SIX had truly formed.
As expected, TEAM SIX CYPHER went on to win numerous accolades, including Best Movie Score (that was the only accolade really, but the people seemed to enjoy it) and too many others to even mention. The team has only grown over the years; founding members Prairie God, phillychz, lil2much, El Tigre, Quacksn, and ropeswizard have remained mainstays, while Yung Griffy has joined the ranks, expanding TEAM SIX to a roster of seven. Yet Clayton remained ever-watchful of their analytics, ready to pounce at the slightest dip in the graph.
As time has passed, TEAM SIX has gone on to feature in other media, primarily guesting on joint projects between TEAM SIX member Prairie God and Slim Billy Beans. The summertime EP, crash out summer, featured a dizzying array of guest verses on the track dream fortnite rotation, drawing shock from Clayton at the intricate wordplay of cranking 90s and Chug Jugs.
The EP performed well, and Clayton was satisfied.
Of course, the good times could not last forever.
The following project by Prairie God and Slim Billy Beans, milk 2, featured a smattering of TEAM SIX features: the lil2much feature on BALLHALLA, the triple threat of phillychz, Yung Griffy, and El Tigre on MATCHA SIPPIN, and those three plus a DNST verse on CRACKING BIRDS...
When milk 2 released, Clayton thought our sound was just too extreme, too subversive, and too bizarre. It needed to be shut down immediately.
It started when Quacksn disappeared.
We tried to reach him any way we could, but nothing worked; his Steam profile was online thirty days ago, his Instagram didn't exist, and TEAM SIX was in a panic.
Then, we disappeared too.
It happened in the night; as I slept with my stuffed prairie dog with my blanket over my head, an assailant entered through the window. I didn't have much time to really process anything; by the time I had sat up and saw the masked man in my bedroom, a gasmask was on my face and I had slipped back into unconsciousness. The truth only dawned on me when the sun arose, and I found the remaining six of us sprawled out upon a desolate beach, the breeze rustling through our hair like a thief's hand in a drawer.
